FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers about the token, membership, voting and the platform.
What is the Utopia Community?
A community of members who decide together, every month, which environmental, social and community projects get funded — organised through a dedicated platform and the UWCT token.
What is UWCT?
A TRC-20 utility token on the Tron blockchain. It’s not a company share; depending on the amount held, it unlocks membership rights.
Can I buy UWCT right now?
No. A public offer will only be permitted once the MiCA whitepaper notification with BaFin has been completed.
How do I become a member?
Once you hold 500 UWCT in a registered wallet, you count as a member (tier SMALL) with access to your profile, the forum and the donation platform.
How does voting work?
Members from tier BASIC (2,500 UWCT) upward get nine votes per month, split across three categories: environment, social, community. The top-ranked proposals get funded until the category’s budget is used up.
Who reviews the project proposals?
An internal ethics board reviews every proposal before the vote for credibility and feasibility.
What is the benefit programme?
Once you hold 10,000 UWCT, you unlock discounts with partner companies. The programme has four tiers (10,000 / 20,000 / 40,000 / 100,000 UWCT) — the more tokens held, the better the benefits.
What happens if I sell my tokens?
Rights are tied to the amount of tokens currently held. If your balance drops below a tier threshold, the corresponding rights are reset; below 500 UWCT, your community profile is frozen.
Who has the final say on a project?
The community votes; members of the highest tier can veto within a three-day window. Utopia Community GbR remains legally responsible for implementation.
Can I propose my own project?
From tier GREAT (25,000 UWCT) upward, you can submit your own proposals; organisations can submit proposals regardless of their token tier.
How can my NGO partner with Utopia?
Through the contact form, subject “Partnership/NGO” — we’ll get back to you about next steps.
What’s the difference between donating and voting?
Voting decides which projects get funded from the monthly community budget. Donations through the internal platform are additional, direct support — independent of the voting budget, and open to non-members too.
Which blockchain does UWCT run on?
The Tron blockchain, as a TRC-20 token — known for fast transactions and low network fees.
Is a profit guaranteed with UWCT?
No. Utopia describes UWCT solely as a membership and voting instrument, not as an investment. There are no promises of returns or price gains.
